Mission Statement
The Bonnie E. Cone Center at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte enriches and supports the educational and socialization process of the University community. We believe that a significant portion of each student's education occurs outside of the classroom. We consider ourselves to be an integral contributor to the overall development of our students.
We will provide consistent, high quality services, programs and facilities to promote student participation in employment, social and educational opportunities. We are committed to the development and self-awareness of students that empower them to be effective members of their current and future communities. We hold the following goals to support this mission:
- Contribute to the total development of students through informal interaction, organizational participation, leadership development, and the planning, implementation, and participation in diverse programs.
- Provide services, training, and facilities that support University programs and participation.
- Provide students with meaningful employment opportunities and substantial roles in the decision making processes that affect facilities, services, policies and programs.
- Develop and administer policies and procedures that enhance campus life while ensuring an environment that is safe, secure and conducive to learning.
- Insure effective use of student fees through fiscal responsibility and prudent use of resources.
- Provide revenue producing services to support the operating budget in a cost effective and high quality customer service oriented manner.
